Foreign Flick

This weeks item is a bit different - yes that is what you think it is - the DVD Oldboy.  This is an interesting find - Oldboy is an awesome revenge story filled with a lot of really sweet fight sense and an insanely twisted ending.  It's also Korean.  Considering Korean movies probably make up under one percent of the US's film industry, I'd have to qualify this DVD as somewhat rare (not in a valuable sense) to begin with - now the fact that someone at Trinity threw this off their balcony and it ended up in our yard seems really out of the ordinary.  I guess we are just lucky - because the DVD stills plays flawlessly, I watched it 2 nights ago.  We want whoever threw Oldboy out to start tossing more stuff down - especially if he/she has more foreign movies.  Actually, when we watched Oldboy, someone was sitting in the chair that was thrown (and posted about a few weeks ago) into our yard.  However, keep in mind, we clean up garbage everyday - treasures like these are few and far between.  But, as long as they keep coming, life in the T3 yard is well worth the hassle of having to clean up.

Aesthetic Improvements

This week I want to take a break from talking about the variety of trash that rains down on our yard.  Instead, I'd like to tell you about/show you one of the "upgrades" my roommates and I made in regards to our yard.  So, when you walk out of our back door and stand in the grass, there will be a wood fence on your right.  About 5 weeks ago, a friend was leaning on the fence and one of the boards broke - another was barely holding on.  For a couple of days we lived with a broken fence - however, where some may see a flaw, we saw a chance at perfection.  Four hours and a trip to ACE hardware later, and we have a functioning door.  We bought 4 hinges and screwed them to the tops and bottoms of both boards, connecting them to the unbroken parts of the fence.  Now, instead of having to walk around Thomas in on order to exit, all we have to do is walk out our back door and step onto the 3rd story walkway that overlooks the tennis courts/pool.  It's super awesome and convenient and essentially makes our already awesome yard 3x better.  Check it out...
